On 1/5/2023 at 9:25 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries on N 31st RD 1/8th of a mile east of E 1961st RD. (Rutland TWP) Lucinda Vazquez (27) of Marseilles was driving east on N 31st RD when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway. Her vehicle entered the south ditch and struck the embankment causing damage to the driver’s side.
On 1/6/2023 at 5:41 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries on N 2653rd RD near E 2219th RD. (Fall River TWP) Austin Craig (24) of Ottawa was driving north west on N 2653rdRD when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy roadway. His vehicle entered the south ditch and struck the embankment causing damage. Austin was given a citation for failure to reduce speed/accident.
On 1/6/2023 at 8:10 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of E 18thRD & N 15th RD. (Otter Creek TWP) Shaun McCann (25) of Streator was driving east on N 15th RD when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy roadway. His vehicle slid through the intersection and entered the north ditch striking the embankment causing damage to the driver’s side.
On 1/6/2023 at 2:07 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on 38th ST & Peoria ST. (Peru TWP) Mariah Frausto (26) of Peru was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
On 1/6/2023 at 8:19 pm LaSalle county Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries on E 22nd RD ¼ mile north of N 30th RD. (Rutland TWP) Barbara Solbera (53) of Ottawa was driving south on E 22ndRD when a deer entered the roadway. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front right corner of her vehicle.
