On 11/21/2023 at 10:09 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of E 24th Rd & N 30th RD. (Rutland TWP) Marc Young (74) of Galesburg, IL was driving south on E 24th RD when a vehicle turned left onto E 24thRd from N 30th RD and struck the back right corner of his vehicle. Ryan Mann (19) of Springfield, IL turned left onto E 24th RD not seeing Ryan’s vehicle traveling south on E 24th RD and struck the back right corner of his vehicle. Ryan was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident.
On 11/23/2023 at 12:52 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area RT 18 & E 15th RD. (Eagle TWP) Kierra Henning (31) of Bettendorf, IA was cited for speeding 73 mph in a 55 mph zone, improper lane usage, operating uninsured motor vehicle, unlawful use of electronic communication device and arrested for DWLS. She was later released with a NTA.
On 11/23/2023 at 2:57 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & N 2525th RD. (South Ottawa TWP) Cheyenne Prat (21) of Streator was arrested for possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. She was transported to LASCO Jail and later released with a NTA.
On 11/23/2023 at 5:47 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of RT 71 & E 494th RD. (Deer Park TWP) Anthony Showen (41) of Spring Valley was driving east on RT 71 when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front of his vehicle. Anthony was cited for driving with suspended registration.
