On 12/19/2022 at 11:30 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with minor injuries on N 2653rd RD ¼ mile east of E 21st RD. (Fall River TWP) Riley Oppenlander (20) of Ottawa was driving west on N 2653rd RD when he drove into the north ditch, striking multiple trees and coming to a stop in a ravine. Riley was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident, Illegal transportation of alcohol by driver and arrest for DUI alcohol and DWLS. He was released with a NTA.
On 12/22/2022 at 1:00 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries on N 42nd RD ¼ mile west of E 2603rd RD. (Northville TWP) A 17 year old male was driving east on N 42nd RD, negotiating a curve when he lost control of his vehicle entering the north ditch and struck a utility pole.
On 12/22/2022 at 1:50 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries at 2007 Canton RD. (Ottawa TWP) Benjamin Bycznski (26) of Ottawa was driving south on Canton RD when he lost control of his vehicle, sliding off the roadway striking small trees.
On 12/23/2022 at 6:43 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries on E 22nd RD ½ mile south of N 19th RD. (Grand Rapids TWP) Robert Allen (39) of Streator was driving north on E 22nd RD when his vehicle struck a large snow drift causing front end damage.
On 12/23/2022 at 10:15 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries on E 5th RD ½ mile north of N 3409thRD. (Troy Grove TWP) Brent Pezanoski (34) of LaSalle was driving north on E 5th RD when a gust of wind caused his trailer to tip over and detach from his truck. His trailer came to a stop in the east ditch.
On 12/23/2022 at 2:09 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries on RT 6 1/8 mile west of E 1509th RD. (Ottawa TWP) Katelyn Beckcom (34) of Ottawa was driving east on RT 6 when she lost control of her vehicle on the ice covered roadway, striking a curb causing front end damage.
On 12/23/2022 at 9:12 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on LaSalle ST @ Norris DR. (Ottawa TWP) Rebollo Gomez (40) of Ottawa was cited for disobeying a traffic control device and operating uninsured motor vehicle. He was released with a NTA.
