On 12/21/2023 at 6:08 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of RT 71 & N 35th RD. (Miller TWP) Joshua Peterson (28) of Ottawa was driving north on RT 71 when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front end of his vehicle.

On 12/24/2023 at 2:52 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 18 & E 8th RD. (Richland TWP) Darnell Smith (38) of LaSalle was cited for speeding 76 mph in a 55 mph zone and operating vehicle with expired registration.
On 12/24/2023 at 3:28 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of RT 17 & E 11thRD. (Osage TWP) Charles Warner (20) of Streator was driving east on RT 17 when he lost control of his vehicle, entered the south ditch and struck a utility pole. He was cited for operating uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed/accident.
On 12/24/2023 at 8:19 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Broadway ST & Sterling ST. (Otter Creek TWP) Lloyd Luttrell (40) of Streator was cited for operating motor vehicle with suspended registration.
