On 2/10/2023 at 10:02 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of 4720 E 1351st RD. (Earl TWP) David Schmidt (20) of Earlville was driving south on E 1351st RD when a deer ran onto the roadway. David swerved to miss the deer, causing his vehicle to enter the west ditch and overturn.
On 2/11/2023 at 8:58 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of RT 71 & E 651st RD. (Deer Park TWP) Michael Nolan (58) of Montgomery, IL was driving west on RT 71 when a deer ran onto the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front end of his vehicle.
On 2/12/2023 at 12:28 pm LaSalle county Deputies investigated a 3 vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of RT 351 & E 450thRD. (LaSalle TWP) Daniel Lewis (61) of Princeton, IL was on RT 351 stopped and facing west behind another vehicle waiting to turn east onto E 450th RD. He heard a loud crash and a vehicle behind him struck the rear end of his vehicle. Cody Donald (25) of Oglesby was driving west on RT 351 when a vehicle behind him struck the rear end of his vehicle causing his vehicle to strike the rear end of Daniel’s vehicle. A 16 year old female driver was driving west on RT 351 when her vehicle struck the rear end of Cody’s vehicle causing his vehicle to strike the rear end of Daniel’s vehicle. The 16 year old driver was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident.
