On 2/19/2023 at 6:16 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a car Vs pedestrian accident with minor injuries in the area of RT 34 & E 1st RD. (Mendota TWP) Donald King (68) of Lamoille was driving east on RT 34, cresting a hill when he noticed a male subject walking on the roadway. He was unable to avoid the male walking and struck him with the passenger side mirror.
On 2/21/2023 at 6:52 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of E 12th RD & N 1709thRD. (Eagle TWP) David Lahman (58) of Streator was driving south on E 12th RD when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front end of his vehicle.
On 2/22/2023 at 3:49 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of RT 71 & N 3950th RD. (Mission TWP) Amy Johnson (18) of Sheridan was driving south on RT 71 when she lost control of her vehicle entering the west ditch, driving over the driveway of 3945 and came to a stop in the west ditch.
On 2/22/2023 at 6:42 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of N 30th RD & E 22ndRD. (Rutland TWP) Curt Close (54) of Ottawa was driving west on N 30th RD when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front end of his vehicle.
On 2/22/2023 at 6:55 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of N 21st RD & E 25thRD. (Brookfield TWP) Venus Sorrells (45) of Russellville, AR was driving west on N 21stRD in the process of turning left into a private drive when a vehicle behind him attempted to pass her, struck the front left corner of her vehicle. David Applebee (56) of Peru was driving west on N 21stRD in the process of passing Venus when he struck the front left corner of her vehicle with the right rear bumper of his vehicle.
On 2/22/2023 at 10:57 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Wake DR & E. Norris DR. (Ottawa TWP) Marqus Gary Jr (20) of Ottawa was cited for improper lane usage.
