On 2/17/2023 at 1:44 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of E 18th RD & N 15thRD. (Otter Creek TWP) Christopher Atkins (33) of Antelope, CA was turning left onto E 18th RD when his trailer struck the guardrail causing damage. Christopher was cited for leaving the scene of accident/vehicle damage. He was released with a NTA.
On 2/24/2023 at 9:14 am in the LASCO court room, LaSalle County Deputies arrested Christopher Downey (31) of Ottawa for a LaSalle County DWLR warrant. Bond $10,000 10% to apply. Christopher was walked over to the LASCO jail and turned over to Jail staff.
On 2/25/2023 at 12:22 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of W 4th ST & S Pond ST. (Hope TWP) Colton Dimmig (22) of Lostant was cited for disobeying a stop sign X2, failure to signal, improper signal, operating uninsured motor vehicle and arrested for DUI of alcohol. He was later released with a NTA.
On 2/25/2023 at 12:38 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 6 & E 22nd RD. (Rutland TWP) A 17 year old male was cited for speeding 72 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 2/25/2023 at 3:00 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of N 2153rd RD & RT 71. (Rutland TWP) William Hawker (29) of Ottawa was driving east on N 2153rd RD when he swerved to avoid striking a deer, causing his vehicle to enter the ditch creating front end damage.
On 2/25/2023 at 3:49 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with injuries in the area of E 4th RD & N 3850thRd. (Troy Grove TWP) Edgar Flores-Jiminez was the driver and only occupant. He was life-flighted from the scene to Saint Anthony Hospital. (Rockford)
