On 3/21/2023 at 8:43 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of N 4050th Rd & E 4thRD. (Troy Grove TWP) Kyle Becker (25) of Peoria, AZ was driving south on N 4050th RD when a deer ran onto the roadway. He swerved to avoid the deer, entering the ditch and striking a tree. Kyle was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident.
On 3/21/2023 at 10:48 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Columbus ST & Van Buren ST. (Ottawa TWP) Latrell Obenhin (27) of Streator was cited for operating uninsured motor vehicle. He was released with a NTA.
On 3/22/2023 at 9:45 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of RT 6 & E 2625th RD. (Manlius TWP) Donald Wireman (56) of Ottawa was driving east on RT 6 when a deer ran onto the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front passenger side of his vehicle.
On 3/23/2023 at 4:30 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of RT 23 & N 2350thRD. (Farm Ridge TWP) Riley Vicic (27) of Streator was driving south on RT 23 when he swerved to avoid striking a vehicle stopped in front of him waiting to turn east. Riley lost control of his vehicle, entering the west ditch, striking a culvert causing his vehicle to overturn resting on its roof.
On 3/23/2023 at 8:39 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of E 28th RD & RT 6. (Manlius TWP) Stacy Thrush (37) of Morris, IL was driving north on E 28th RD when a deer ran onto the roadway. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front left corner of her vehicle.
