On 4/18/2023 at 2:50 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a three vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of 1474 RT 6. (Ottawa TWP) Mariah Walker (28) of Utica was driving west on RT 6, cresting a hill when she struck the rear end of a stopped vehicle in front of her. Georgette Purnell (34) of Mendota was stopped on RT 6 facing west, waiting for a vehicle in front of her to turn left when Mariah’s vehicle struck the rear end of hers causing her to strike the rear end of the vehicle in front of her. Carlee Schaefer (38) of Ottawa was stopped on RT 6 waiting to turn left when Georgette’s vehicle struck the rear end of her vehicle. Georgette was cited for operating uninsured motor vehicle. Mariah was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident and arrested for DWLS. She was released with a NTA.

(Eden TWP) Jeffery Anderson (64) of Kewaskum, WI was driving north on E 5th RD when he swerved to avoid striking a raccoon causing his vehicle to lose control, enter the east ditch and strike a tree.

Dominic Seibert (19) of Utica was driving east on RT 6 behind Hailley’s vehicle when she suddenly applied the brakes causing his vehicle to strike the rear end of hers. Hailley was cited for reckless driving, leaving the scene of accident and failure to give notice of accident. She was released with a NTA.
