On 5/2/2023 at 4:35 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of RT 18 & E 14th RD. (Eagle TWP) Christopher Hayford (23) of Streator was driving west on RT 18, in the process of turning left on to E 14th RD when a vehicle attempted to pass him and struck the front left corner of his vehicle. Gregory Dittbenner (60) of Germantown Hills, IL was driving west on RT 18 when he attempted to pass Christopher’s vehicle. When Christopher was in the process of turning left, Gregory struck the front left corner of his vehicle. Gregory was cited for improper passing at intersection. Christopher was cited for failure to use turn signal.
On 5/2/2023 at 6:15 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of 1590 RT 23. (Bruce TWP) Jason Hallam (49) of Streator was cited for speeding 79 mph in a 55 mph zone and operating uninsured motor vehicle.
