On 6/12/2023 at 9:50 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of RT 23 & N 2479th RD. (South Ottawa TWP) Amber Grenda (39) of Ottawa was driving north on RT 23 then stopped at a construction traffic light. A vehicle behind her traveling north on RT 23 struck the back end of her vehicle causing damage. Samantha Pouk (23) of Marseilles was driving north on RT 23 when her vehicle struck the back end of Ambers while stopped at the construction light. Samantha was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident and operating uninsured motor vehicle.
