    IMPACTS
    Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

On 7/30/23 at 0315 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of IL RT 18 and E 11thRD (Eagle TWP). The driver identified as Dillen J. Barry (24) of Streator, IL, was cited for speeding 78 mph in a 55 mph zone.

On 07/30/23 at 0358 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of IL RT 178 and N 27th RD (Utica TWP). The driver identified as Jacey A. Brady (29) of Ottawa. IL, was arrested and cited for driving while license suspended. Jacey was issued a NTA and released from the scene.

On 7/30/23 at 1733 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of IL RT 71 and E 23rdRD (Miller TWP). The driver identified as Oscar Gomez-Mena (50) of Plano, IL, was arrested and cited for no valid driver’s license. Oscar received a verbal warning for speeding and was issued a NTA, then released from the scene.

On 07/30/23 at 2049 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of US RT 34 and N 46th RD (Adams TWP). The driver identified as Margarita DeLoera-Leya (37) of Aurora, IL, was cited for speeding 78 mph in a 55 mph zone.
