On 6/29/2023 at 10:43 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a car Vs pedestrian accident with injuries in the area of RT 6 & E 10th RD. (Utica TWP) Damon Jackson (37) of Davenport, IL was driving east on RT 6 when his vehicle struck a pedestrian walking on RT 6. Julie Hughes (40) of Marseilles was walking on RT 6 when she was sideswiped by Damon’s vehicle. Julie was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center Peoria. Damon was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident.
On 7/7/2023 at 8:34 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & N 17th RD. (Bruce TWP) Erik Dawson (40) of Streator was cited for speeding 98 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was released with a NTA.
On 7/8/2023 at 2:09 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of 7th ST & Buffalo ST. (LaSalle TWP) Nicholas Crites (19) of LaSalle was cited for operating uninsured motor vehicle. He was released with a NTA.
On 7/8/2023 at 1:20 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of 970 N 2401st RD. (Deer Park TWP) Diana Foltynewicz (61) of Tonica was driving west on N 2401stRD when she lost control of her vehicle, entered the south ditch and struck the ditch embankment.
