    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. On 9/5/2023 at 8:06 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 251 & N 36th Rd. (Peru TWP) Lennard Crabbe (40) of Peru was cited for failure to wear seat belt.

On 9/5/2023 at 8:19 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 251 & Wenzel RD. (Peru TWP) Barbara Majchrzak (75) of Spring Valley, IL was cited for failure to wear seat belt. Her passenger, Anton Mautino (77) of Spring Valley, IL was cited for failure to wear seat belt.

On 9/5/2023 at 8:36 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Wenzel RD & RT 251. (Peru TWP) Paul Kirsch (53) of Spring Valley, IL was cited for failure to wear seat belt.
