    Portions of north central, northwest, and west central Illinois, east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa, and northeast Missouri.

    IMPACTS
    Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

On 6/23/2023 at 5:49 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 34 & E 23rd RD. (Adams TWP) Kaitlyn Fries (23) of Leland was cited for speeding 72 mph in a 55 mph zone and operating uninsured motor vehicle. She was released with a NTA.

On 6/23/2023 at 6:45 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & N 35th RD. (Dayton TWP) David Gonzalez (32) of Hobart, IN was cited for speeding 72 mph in a 55 mph zone, operating uninsured motor vehicle and arrested for DWLS & unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He was transported to LASCO jail.

On 6/23/2023 at 8:50 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of 3rd ST & Peru ST. (LaSalle TWP) Kimberly Washelesky (38) of Peru was cited for no valid driver’s license. She was released with a NTA.

On 6/24/2023 at 2:05 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & Spring ST. (Bruce TWP) Thomas Wagner (28) of Streator was cited for expired registration, operating uninsured motor vehicle and arrested for DUI alcohol over 0.08 BAC. He was released with a NTA.
