    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Sterling Police Report

Sterling police reported several incidents on November 21st. Shortly after midnight, officers responded to disorderly conduct on the 10 block of East 3rd Street, where David B. Bevilla, 26, of Sterling, was cited for resisting a peace officer and being an intoxicated pedestrian in the roadway. Later in the day, Daniel Lopez-Turrubiartez, 30, of Rock Falls, faced charges after a traffic stop involving expired registration and driving an uninsured vehicle. Evening arrests included Steven J. Kammerer, 74, of Prophetstown, wanted in Carroll County, and Shaun A. Sutton, 26, of Oregon, charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer and drug paraphernalia possession.
