Sterling Police made two significant traffic stops. Michael L. Galloway, a local resident, was taken into custody following the discovery of a Whiteside County warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle. He was transported directly to the county jail. In a separate incident, officers pulled over Tedra J. Durden of La Mesa, California. Durden received citations for driving with a suspended registration and for operating an uninsured vehicle.
