Sterling Police have taken action after a series of incidents in the area. Jessica Walters of Ottawa has been charged with retail theft, burglary, and domestic battery. Authorities report Walters was taken into custody without incident. In a separate case, Gary Stanley and Desuree Young, both of Sterling, face charges following a domestic disturbance.
Additionally, Raul Lopez from Rock Falls received a citation for driving with a suspended license. The Sterling Police Department reminds the public that all individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty and encourages anyone with additional information to come forward.
All are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
