On Wednesday, September 25th, Illinois State Police (ISP) Blackhawk Area Task Force (BATF) arrested 29-year-old Dakota L. Bottoms of Sterling, IL for Delivery of Cannabis (Class 3 Felony), Delivery of Cannabis (Class X Felony), Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver (Class 1 Felony), and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver (Class 2 Felony). Bottoms was arrested and released on pre-trial conditions and awaits a further court date in Whiteside County.
ISP-BATF in collaboration with the Sterling Police Department, United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Scott County (IA) Special Operations Unit (SOU), and Rock Island Police Department conducted the investigation. Prosecution will be handled by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. The investigation remains open and on-going and no further information will be disseminated by the Illinois State Police.
