Recently, a series of traffic stops led to various charges against individuals. Michael V. Wesley, 25, from Sterling, was cited for using a cell phone while driving. Similarly, Silke L. Drolema, 32, of Dixon, faced charges for using an electronic communication device while driving. Matthew S. Holloway, 33, from Rock Falls, was pulled over for driving with expired registration and no insurance. Lastly, Taylor T. Kobbeman, 25, also from Sterling, was cited for disobeying a red light. Each case underlines the ongoing efforts by Sterling police to promote road safety by curbing distracted and irresponsible driving within the community.
