On Sunday, February 4th, Sterling Police arrested 40 year old Roger Jones of Rock Falls, following a traffic stop in the 200 block of East 2nd street. Jones was taken into custody for resisting a peace officer, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of cannabis 10-30 grams, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, operating a bicycle at night without a light, Whiteside County Warrant for failure to appear of dangerous drugs, and Rockford warrant for domestic battery. Jones was transported to The Whiteside County Jail.
Charges listed are accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
