    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Schuyler County Sheriff Report for December 1st

Schuyler County Sheriff Bill Redshaw has released the weekly activity report for November 24th through December 1st. Incidents include a minor collision on November 19, when a Nissan Pathfinder rear-ended a dump truck near Barry, with no injuries reported. On November 26th, a Rushville resident received a citation for suspended registration. November 28th, saw citations issued for speeding and driving uninsured near Houston, Texas, as well as a deer-strike incident on Route 101. Throughout the week, deputies served three summonses, gave one verbal warning, assisted other agencies four times, and traveled 2,494 miles while patrolling the county.
