    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Schuyler County Sheriff’s Report

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office reports several incidents for the week of November 3rd through 10th. Among the activity, deputies responded to a grain truck fire on Peabody One Road near Hendricks Lane. Multiple motorists, including Rylee Strode and David Summers, struck deer on area roadways, highlighting ongoing traffic hazards.

Kevin Lakin was arrested on a McDonough County warrant but posted bond and was released, while Kenneth Cox faced arrest on a no-bond warrant from Morgan County. Over the week, law enforcement served two warrants, issued several citations and verbal warnings, and patrolled more than 2,600 miles in the county.
