A and W Titans Baseball Season Ends in Super Sectional Loss

SHARE NOW

A terrific season for the A & W Titans baseball team came to a close on Tuesday with a loss in the Super Sectional round of the State High School Baseball playoffs. Despite a solid 6 inning effort from conference first team pitcher, Koeyn DeClercq pitched 6 innings and Maddux Heitzler had two hits but the Titans still fell to the Falcons of Gibson City-Melvin Sibley varsity, 3 to 0. The GCMS Falcons got a stellar performance from their starting pitcher E. Elliott that made all the difference. Elliott gave up five hits over 7 innings but did not give up a run in his complete game victory and he had six strikeouts. The A & W Titans are nevertheless Conference, Regional, and Sectional Champions and they have a great deal to look forward to next season.
