    Portions of north central, northwest, and west central Illinois, east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa, and northeast Missouri.

    IMPACTS
    Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

A & W Titans Defeat ROWVA

The A & W Titans defeated ROWVA on Friday night in Oneida, 28 to 6. Zeb Rashid rushed for a touchdown in the first quarter 22 yards to give the Titans the early lead. Soon after, Rashid took the ball again and rushed 32 yards for a second touchdown and a 14 to 0. In the second quarter it was Zeb Rashid again from 22 yards out, rushing in for his third touchdown of the game, 21 to 0. Neither team scored in the 3rd quarter but at the start of the fourth quarter, Wide Receiver Ryker Gillespie caught a short pass of 4 yards for a touchdown and 28 to 0 lead. ROWVA bounced right back moments later however with an 88 yard kick return and a 2 yard rushing touchdown. The two point conversion was stopped leading to the final score, 28 to 6 in favor of A & W. The Titans are now 7 and 1 on the season while ROWVA fell to 6 and 2.
