In a challenging game at Modern Woodmen Park, the Quad Cities River Bandits faced a tough defeat, losing 15-2 to the Dayton Dragons. The River Bandits struggled to contain the Dragons, who set a season record with 19 hits including four homers. Dayton’s offensive onslaught began in the fourth inning with a five-run burst, capped by Carlos Jorge’s two-run home run. Quad Cities’ pitcher Shane Panzini, after a solid start, gave up nine runs over 1.1 innings. Despite a two-run homer from Carter Jensen, the River Bandits couldn’t turn the tide. The team looks to regroup as they continue their homestand against the South Bend Cubs.
