    Portions of north central, northwest and west central Illinois, east central, northeast and southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri.

    IMPACTS
    Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Overnight temperatures in the 70s will provide little relief for those without air conditioning.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

High School Football Playoffs Coming to Regional Media This Weekend

Regional Media will be bringing you live coverage of Kewanee and A & W Titans High School Football playoff games this coming weekend. Over the weekend, the playoff match ups were announced with both A & W and Kewanee earning home playoff games this coming weekend. For the A & W Titans, who finished the regular season with a 49 to 14 win over Princeville, they will play on Saturday afternoon at 1:o0 PM in a game that will be heard on Hog Country 102.5 WJRE. A & W’s opponent is Deer Creek Mackinaw.

The Kewanee Boilermakers will host a playoff game on Friday night in Kewanee and that game will be heard on RegionalMediaNews.com WKEI. The Boilermakers will host Peoria Notre Dame in a game that kicks off at 7 PM on Friday night. Russ Hughes and Jeremy Peart will be on the call starting with the pregame show at 6:30 PM.
