Tommy Covington stepped to the fore for the Annawan Boys Basketball squad on Thursday night and led the team to a 61 to 57 win over Ridgewood. The victory was the 22nd win of the season for Annawan. Covington dropped a season high 22 points in the win. Maddux Heitlzer pitched in with 13 points in the winning effort. On X, Coach Alex Coppejans praised his team saying “Finally starting to get our legs under us & back healthy. Extremely proud of the character & mental toughness our guys showed tonight.” The Annawan Braves are now 22 and 5 on the season. Annawan will be back in action tonight at 7 PM vs Princeville.
