Kewanee Bowling Team Advances in IHSA Bowling Playoffs

The Kewanee Girls Team was successful in a field of 16 teams at the bowling regions at Plum Hollow Lanes in Dixon, IL. Four teams could advance to sectionals and 10 girls that were not on qualifying teams. This year, Kewanee is one of the 4 teams. It has been a season of firsts. First places, in multiple tournaments, first season with only 1 loss in the single team competitions. The ladies have done well, and their hard work has continued to pay off.

Here are the results of the sectional:

The high series qualifier- Mya Mirocha – 1208 Pins
The team results- 4th out of 16 teams
High Game- Mya Mirocha- 216

Honorable mention- Aspen Schwickerath- 199,

Kristina Armstrong- 192, Mariah Bishop- 189 (highest of the
season). Teralynn Whitcher- 165

High 3 Game- Mya Mirocha 620, Honorable mention- Kristina Armstrong- 531
High 6 Game series- Mya Mirocha- 1208, Honorable mention- Kristina
Armstrong- 1022

* Mya Mirocha received an individual award for having the
second-highest series of the entire regional

* Kristina Armstrong with her 1022 was ranked 19th overall in the regional.
