    Very cold wind chills as low as 20 to 30 below.
    WHERE
    Portions of north central and northwest Illinois and east central and southeast Iowa.
    WHEN
    Until noon CST today.
    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in 30 minutes or less. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Kewanee Boys Track Sherrard Invitational

“Last night the Kewanee boys came up 3 points short of winning the Sherrard Tiger relays. 1st place finishes went to Dontaveon Thomas in the long and triple jumps, JJ Rojinski in the high jump, Anthony Padilla in the 110 hurdles, and the 4×200 relay of Padilla, Tyson Currie, Davontae Jordon, and Tre Amos. Those scoring 2nd place finishes were; Leo Gandarilla in the shot and disc, Tyson Currie in pole vault and the 800 Medley that was run by Currie, Davontae Jordan, Tre Amos, and JJ Roginski. Kewanees next meet is Tuesday at home for the Brockman Invitational.”
