The Kewanee Central girls 8th grade 4×100 (Kolbie Cernovich, Kalei Rice, Jendayia Crowe, Dani Jo Currier) finished 5th for the IESA 3A State Track and Field Championships. Their time of 53.61 from Heat 1 held up through Heat 3 to put them on the podium.
Dani Jo also finished 9th in the 100 meter run, 12th in Long Jump, and placed 8th for the 200 meter run.
Kieryn Abernathy placed 11th in Shot Put. All five girls now hold the school record in their events. It’s been a great season!
