    Peak afternoon heat indices around 105 degrees expected.
    WHERE
    Portions of north central, northwest, and west central Illinois, east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa, and northeast Missouri.
    WHEN
    From noon Saturday to 8 PM CDT Monday.
    IMPACTS
    Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Kewanee Cross Country competed at the Bureau Valley Quad Meet at Manlius Park

In the Varsity Boys 3-mile, Jason Rusk finished 2nd place with a time of 19:08, Chase Palm finished 7th Place with a time of 20:26, Hunter Vancil finished 8th place with a time of 20:47, Mitchal Thorp finished 16th with a time of 21:50 and Miles Yelm finished 25th with a time of 26:56.

In the Varsity Girls 3-mile, Natalee Martin finished 3rd place with a time of 23:26, Nolie Charlet finished 4th place with a time of 23:53 and Alejandra Martinez finished 6th place with a time of 26:06.
