Kewanee softball continued a remarkable winning run with a 10 to 0 win over the Princeton Tigers. McKensey Stontz’ hitting and Kaleigh Gale’s pitching continues to be an unbeatable combination for Kewanee with Gale picking up 5 more scoreless innings and 5 more strikeouts while Stontz blasted two home runs and drove in 4 RBIs. “Kewanee improved to 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in the conference on a 10-0 win over Princeton. Kewanee had 9 hits on the night led by McKensey Stontz 3 hits and 2 home runs. Hope Peed added 2 more hits.
Kalleigh Gale and Peed both had strong outings from the circle for Kewanee. Gale pitched 5 innings of shutout ball,striking out 5. Peed came in relief for the final 2 innings and struck out 5 of her own.
Kewanee will be home on Thursday as Princeton comes to town for a rematch. Game time 4pm at Northeast Park”
