The Kewanee Softball team made another tremendous last inning comeback to pull out a win as they defeated Bureau Valley on Wednesday. Trailing 3 to 0 in the 6th, Kewanee plated two runs to get the game close. Then, in the bottom of the 7th inning, Kewanee’s star Freshman Kalleigh Gale came to the plate and smacked a game winner to finish the game 5 to 3 in favor of Kewanee. Gale not only had the game winning hit, she also pitched four scoreless innings in relief and racked up 11 strikeouts.
