Kewanee Softball got another terrific performance from Kalleigh Gale to defeat St. Bede 4 to 3 on Monday. Gale pitched 7 strong innings in the win. More from Coach Rob Weston

“Kewanee comes from behind in last inning when McKensey Stontz hits a bases loaded grounder to third base. Cheyanne had a good jump off the base and scores the winning run. The girls had several good at bats in the game against a very good pitcher. Through grit and determination the ball started to find gaps and we were able to string some hits together. The Boilermakers had 9 hits for the night. 2 by Stontz and 2 clutch hits by Lexi Dillender. Kalleigh Gale had her 1st homerun of her high school career. Gale also pitched a complete game striking out 4 and only giving up 2 runs.
Boilermaker softball is right back at it on Tuesday as Ridgewood Spartans come to town for a varsity game. Game time 430”
