Kewanee Star Braden Clark Taking Talents to Illinois College in Jacksonville

In a release to the media on Wednesday, Kewanee High School Athletic Director Tim Atwell made it official that Kewanee multi-sport star Braden Clark is headed to Jacksonville, Illinois to attend Illinois College. Rumors that Clark had decided upon Illinois College had persisted for weeks but the signing was made official on Wednesday. In a statement, Mr. Atwell made the announcement official…

“The Kewanee High School Athletic Department is proud to announce that senior Braden Clark will be taking his basketball skills to Illinois College in Jacksonville starting in 2024-2025. Clark looks to help keep the Blueboys rolling as they came off a great season this past year.

Clark, finished his senior year as the 2nd all-time leading scorer for KHS. In his senior year, he also received IBCA Third Team Selection, Illinois Media All State Team Honorable Mention, First Team TRAC Unanimous All Conference, TRAC Academic All-Conference and was invited to play in the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All Star Team for Class 1A/2A.

The Illinois College men’s basketball team dropped a heartbreaking 68-67 overtime decision to Washington University in St. Louis in the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament on Saturday at the Washington University Field House. The Blueboys milestone season comes to an end with a 24-5 record. Playing in the program’s third NCAA Tournament, IC reached the second round for the first time ever after winning both the Midwest Conference Regular Season and Tournament titles for the second consecutive year.”
