Kewanee Track Results from Newman Rosenberry Classic

The Kewanee boys track team competed at the Rosenberry Invite in Sterling last night. 1st place finishes went to JJ Roginski in the high jump, and Anthony Padilla in the 60HH both with personal bests. Dontaveon Thomas placed 2nd in the triple jump and 3rd in both high and long jump. Leo Gandarilla placed 2nd in the Shot Put with a personal best of 15.06 meters. JJ Roginski also placed 3rd in the 800 and the 4×200 relay of Tre Amos, Davontae Jordon, Dontaveon Thomas, and Tyson Currie grabbed 3rd. Out of 11 teams Kewanee placed 2nd to Morrison overall losing by nine points. Spring break vacations and illnesses prevented the team from making a run for the 1st place trophy.
