The New Orleans Pelicans are signing free agent center DeAndre Jordan to a one-year, $3.6 million deal, his agent told ESPN on Friday.

Jordan, 37, is a former All-Star and two-time league rebounding champion who spent the past three seasons with the Denver Nuggets. His career field-goal percentage of 67.4 ranks No. 1 in league history.

Jordan averaged 3.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 12.3 minutes in 56 games (five starts) for the Nuggets in 2024-25.

He has career averages of 8.5 points and 9.7 boards in 1,111 games (791 starts) with seven teams, including a 10-season run with the Los Angeles Clippers from 2008-18.

The Pelicans play their home opener against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night. New Orleans lost 128-22 in its season opener Wednesday at Memphis.

Agent Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management confirmed the signing with ESPN.
