(Reuters) -France’s Leon Marchand set the men’s 200 metres individual medley world record at the world championships in Singapore on Wednesday.
Marchand clocked 1:52.69 in his semi-final, eclipsing the previous mark of 1:54.00 set by Ryan Lochte at the 2011 world championships in Shanghai.
