Princeton Lady Tigers Pick Up 19th Win in Hard Fought Game Against Kewanee

The Princeton Lady Tigers are 19 and 2 on the season after defeating the Kewanee Boiler Girls, 57 to 48. The Kewanee Girls fought hard against one of the best teams in the region, including a third quarter where the Boiler Girls fought back to get within 2 points of the Lady Tigers, taking advantage of turnovers. Unfortunately for Kewanee that just wasn’t enough in the end as the Lady Tigers regained their form in the fourth quarter, on their way to the 57 to 48 final score. Kewanee’s Mya Dearing and Larissa Meyer each scored 13 points on the night while Junior Hannah Tiska put up a season high. Olivia Gartin was the difference maker for the Lady Tigers, leading her team with 20 points. Keighley Davis added 11 in the winning effort. The Lady Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, at home against Orion. Kewanee has a week off until the play St. Bede on the road next Thursday, January 26th, Then they return home on Saturday, January 28th for a game against Farmington.
