At the State Track meet Preliminaries in Charleston on Friday, both Morgan Foes (Shot and Discus) and Camryn Driscoll (400 Dash) qualified for the Class 2A finals to be held on Saturday. Their performances were as follows [with current ranking]:

Shot: Foes 11.67m (38′ 3 1/2) [4th] Disc: Foes. 33.71m (110′ 7) [9th] 400: Driscoll 59.41 [9th] Personal Best

“Morgan started the day off well with a strong throw in the Shot Put, which ended up being her best of the day. She later got better with each throw of the Discus and really needed it. She was out of the top 12 until her final throw when she moved up to the 9th position. Camryn got out real strong in the 400 and was able to hold on to get the last qualifying spot in that event. A gutsy race. So it was a solid prelim day and I think we can move up a little in the finals tomorrow.”
