ACCRA (Reuters) -Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama has named former minister of communication Edward Omane Boamah defence minister, the presidency said in a statement on Tuesday.
Another statement from the presidency showed that Mahama appointed a retired lieutenant colonel Larry Gbevlo-Lartey as special envoy to the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).
Former Finance Minister Seth Emmanuel Terkper was named as presidential advisor on the economy, the statement said.
