Black Hawk Colleges Closed for Juneteenth

Black Hawk College has announced all offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, to honor Juneteenth, the day commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Although the college will be closed, students can continue to register online for the upcoming sessions. July Start classes will kick off on July 1, while the Fall 2024 semester begins on August 19. Information on classes and registration is available on the college’s website. Juneteenth, which became a federal holiday on June 17, 2021, marks a significant moment in American history, celebrating freedom and equality.
