The Galesburg Police Department and the Regional Office of Education are hosting a free car seat installation education and safety check on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Galesburg Public Safety Building. The public is invited to stop by the free event for assistance with installing a car seat or verifying the car seat is appropriate for the child. The event will be in the west parking lot, accessible from Cedar Street, between Tompkins and Simmons Street.
