This October, the Friends of the Hennepin Canal invite you to the picturesque “Fall Color Hike the Hennepin” event. Set for October 13th, participants will explore a 4.5-mile stretch of the canal from Lock 3 to Lock 6, a journey dubbed the “Great Blue Heron.” The trek will start with a meet-up at Lock 3 at 1:30 p.m., where hikers will be shuttled to Lock 6 for the beginning of their adventure. This event, shifted to the second Sunday instead of the usual third, promises an engaging experience for nature enthusiasts.
