LaSalle County Sheriff Adam Diss announced the arrest of a 31-year-old man from Sheridan on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Mark J. Patton was arrested by LaSalle County Investigators and charged with four counts of possession of child pornography and possession of a firearm without a FOID card. Mark Patton was transported to the LaSalle County Jail and later released with a notice to appear in court. The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office High Tech Crimes Bureau, and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are members of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
