The Geneseo Christmas Walk is back, and with it, the eagerly anticipated Gingerbread House Competition. Open to everyone and free to enter, contestants are vying to impress with their edible architectural skills. Each creation must fit within a 2’x2′ space on a completely edible base. The stakes are high this year, with the Grand Champion receiving a $100 Geneseo Chamber Gift Certificate, a unique Gingerbread trophy, and, of course, lifelong bragging rights. These delightful confections will be showcased at the Geneseo Art League and Gallery during the event on December 14, 2024. For those interested in participating, entry forms are available online. This festive competition promises to blend creativity with the spirit of the season in Downtown Geneseo.
Houses need to be dropped off at the Geneseo Art League & Gallery, located at 125 N. State St. on Friday, December 13, 2024, no later than 3:00 pm. The competition will begin on Saturday, December 9 during the Geneseo Christmas Walk. Judging will be done by the community on Saturday, December 14 during the 2024 Geneseo Christmas Walk.
