Annawan High School takes pride as its student-athletes shine in both academics and athletics. The recent all-conference announcements highlighted exceptional talents across various sports. In golf, athletes such as Katie Attig and Zach Gerber excelled, securing all-academic honors. The cross-country team saw Logan Davis and Karson Shrum not only dominate in races but also in their academic performance. Volleyball star Clara Bella VanOpdorp was recognized as first-team all-conference, demonstrating prowess on the court. Football was no exception, with Nic Thurston making the first team for both linebacker and at-large categories. These students exemplify a strong balance of dedication to sports and studies.
