Comedian Amy Schwartz, an alumnus of The Second City and iO Theatre, will perform at Illinois Valley Community College on November 21, 2024, at 12:15 PM. The event, sponsored by the campus Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, aims to highlight issues of neurodiversity and inclusion. Schwartz, who is also known for her work in education and neurology, represents both ADHD and LGBTQIA+ communities.
“We are collaborating to bring attention to two important student groups on campus,” said Amanda Cook Fesperman, IVCC DEI Committee Co-Chair. “Because the College’s One Book, One College program is focusing on neurodiversity, we thought this would be a great collaboration. As a comedian, Amy can connect with students on a new level.”
