The Colona Police, with assistance from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Kewanee Police, and Rock Island County, are searching for a male subject wanted for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon for an alleged stabbing, according to scanner traffic. An attempt to locate came over the scanner for a white male, 5’8”, wearing a teal sweatshirt, ski mask, and backpack. The suspect allegedly fled on foot after being kicked out of a vehicle.
We have confirmation that a Kewanee Police Office is in Colona with a drone. Scanner traffic indicated the Kewanee K-9 was en route as well. Scanner traffic most recently asked Colona units where Rock Island County should send up their drone.
We have reached out to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office for information. This is a developing story, and we will provide updates as we receive them. There is no indication the male subject is a danger to the public.
According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, they are assisting the Colona Police, and Colona Police have jurisdiction. We will reach out to the Colona Police Department.
